  Sufian al Butayneh, 21, and two of his friends Jordian student at University of Mosul in Northern Iraq Decided to leave Iraq for Syria, and while on their way, were filling up at a gas staion when an American helicopter fired a missile. It is not clear whether the target was the taxi or the petrol station.

Mazen Dana, 41 Palestinian Reuters cameraman The car that Dana was traveling in stopped on a highway near the prison so he could film a U.S. tank patrol. A soldier ``perceived Mr. Dana as an individual with a rocket propelled grenade launcher hoisted upon his right shoulder, prepared to engage the combat patrol,'' a U.S. Army summary said. It said the soldier fired four times, hitting Dana in the chest. A medic gave Dana first aid and soldiers called for a medical transport, but the cameraman died quickly, the report said.

Ali Abdel Aziz cameraman for Al-Arabiya satellite news channel Shot and killed by US fire. The news team had gone to cover an attack on the Burj al-Hayat hotel and US forces who cordoned off the area opened fire. Al-Arabiya employees said the Iraqis were driving in central Baghdad when another car drove through a US checkpoint. They said US troops then opened fire on both cars. According to reports, the car in which they were driving was clearly marked 'TV'.
